WE SOLVE IT!

DIY Range - Tech Specs

Remember...

On request - we can quote you on inverters up to 100,000-Watts of power.

But, we suggest you don't leap into big expense too quickly - let's set you up with a simple Home 1200VA - (720W sustained) and Office 2400VA (1440W sustained) DIY/Plug-n-play systems that can run all 'must-never-crash' sensitive electonics - and then trade that in one a big system we'll supply when you can make a more considered decision.

Also - please Be Aware: As the table below indicates - inverters have a maximum wattage rating (VA) and a sustained rating kW. What is loosely termed a "1200W" is the maximum capacity 1200VA and/or 1.2kW unit - often marked as the model number: "Model 1200W" - this is an industry standard.  To calculate a sustained workload for a unit, one needs to look at the "nominal AC Power" rating.

About Sinewave

In layperson speak, the quality of electricity coming from, say, Eskom is not perfect, but it is 'good enough'; i.e. the voltage doen't vary too much away from the perfect 220v.

Of course, given the present problems; when everything crashes in one suburb, there is a surge of power in other suburbs, and this causes a 'rebound' effect - which isn't in itself good for sensitive (and expensive) electronics.

This fluctuating voltage is even more pronounced when moving on to generators

An inverter 'smooths' these quality problems out.

The definition of "Sinewave" is: a curve representing periodic oscillations of constant amplitude as given by a sine function.  So a pure sinewave unit creates a perfectly 'clean' power supply.

Problem is, pure sinewave units - quality ones - get very expensive.

The top quality modified sinewave units of today are perfect for running ordinary household electronics.  Quality is easy to find - it will have a SABS or CE certificate of quality assuredness.

That said, if you insist on pure sinewave, we'll gladly supply them.

Cheap modified sinewave units are more accurately known as: "Square Wave" - these are to be AVOIDED... Avoid Square Wave

The easiet thing to do is look for the CE seal of quality approval.

I can't screw in a lightbulb yet I set my unit up in my office in 3 minutes back in 2009 and have not had a power outage since then.

I run my shop - light, till, credit card machine, Wi-Fi, computer - off a 1200W inverter.  I'd hate to estimate what my losses would be if I didn't have this facilty.  It pays for itself over and over.
