The Crist family of Harrisburg started Tree 4 Hope after adopting two children from Guatemala. The goal is to build a school for the girls there, but it can be hard for people here to understand why.
“It has been very heartbreaking to watch these girls, who have become my global daughters, grow up and not have the opportunities that my daughters do,” Jennifer Crist said. “If people could just see the conditions that these girls live in, they would understand why this school is needed so badly and why it is needed right now.”
Greenfish Labs, a Lancaster-based tech start-up, recently produced a virtual reality video for Tree 4 Hope to help fundraising efforts.
“We wanted to immerse people in the environment, so we created this quick, three-to-four minute fundraising video which was then translated into the 360 experience,” said Sovanna Mam, co-founder of Greenfish Labs.
