Virtual Reality in the classroom

Virtual Reality won't really hit the mainstream for another six months or so but at Discovery Elementary School it's already being utilised. The San Marcos, California school used VR to bring a geography lesson to life. Mrs. Keeton's second grade class tried out Google cardboard for the first time to explore parts of Rome, Jerusalem and various other locations around the world. Instead of just seeing a map and static pictures of the cities, the kids were able to explore Rome and look in every direction. Connecting the students to a dynamic experience rather than a regular lesson.
